Bison Association Receives $103K Grant to Expand Herds
SARE funds will support curriculum, trainings and other tools to promote bison ranching. A $103,675 grant awarded to the National Bison Association (NBA) will bolster the organization’s efforts to expand bison ranching across a 12-state region in the north-central United States.??The grant, awarded by the North-Central Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (NC-SARE), will allow the bison association to develop a bison-specific curriculum and learning tools that can be used in all levels of education, from Ag in the Classroom, to universities and extension centers. IDDBA's Dairy-Deli-Bake Grand Success
The IDDBA’s Dairy-Deli-Bake 2014 marked the association’s 50th anniversary. The seminar and expo was held June 1-3 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. IDDBA’s Dairy-Deli-Bake 2014 had 8,712 registered attendees, representing 40 countries. The attendees included top-ranked retail buyers, merchandisers, executives, food manufacturers, brokers, distributors and other top industry professionals. The sold-out expo consisted of 1,864 booths, representing 758 exhibiting companies. The show floor was crowded and busy as exhibitors and retailers cultivated new business, new marketing ideas, and new relationships. The exhibitors displayed their best products with many new item introductions.
